Pediatric Dentistry is the dental specialty (like Pediatrics in medicine) devoted exclusively to children. It requires additional years of training beyond general dentistry in such areas as growth and development, child psychology, medical complications and orthodontic treatment.
Our goal is a healthy child who will enter adulthood free of dental disease as well as dental fears -with good oral health habits that will last a lifetime.

 Dr. Eli C. Schneider, a graduate of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, completed his residency at The Children’s Hospital in Boston. He is on the medical staff at Children’s Hospital Boston, Quincy Hospital and South Shore Hospital. In addition, Dr. Schneider has held a teaching appointment in Pediatric Dentistry at Harvard. He founded the practice in 1975. He is a graduate of Boston University.

 Dr. James T. Fukuda, also graduated from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston. He serves on the medical staffs of Children’s Hospital and South Shore Hospital. Dr Fukuda holds a teaching appointment at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

 Dr. D. Gary Griffith, is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston and serves on the medical staffs of both Children’s Hospital and South Shore Hospital. Dr. Griffith also holds a teaching appointment at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

 Dr. Jeffrey Karen, a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, completed a General Practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City followed by a two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Karen is a member of the medical staff at South Shore Hospital and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
